Wayne Borton, 70, of Marshalltown, IA
passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at
Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. A
luncheon and time to greet family will be from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21,
2014, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W.
Main St., Marshalltown, IA. Online

Wayne was born September 9, 1943 in
Marshalltown, IA to James and Hazel (Scouvill)
Borton. He grew up in Marshalltown,
graduating from Marshalltown High… School in
1961. Throughout his journey, Wayne resided
in several different Iowa cities and towns
including Union, Haverhill, Green Mountain,
Melrose and Marshalltown. He served in
various positions at Fisher Controls in
Marshalltown for 34 years until he retired in
1999. He served as a loyal member of the UAW
Local 893.
Left to cherish Wayne’s memory are his
wife, Karen L. Borton of Marshalltown, IA, two
sons, Steve (Karen) J. Borton of Sumter, SC,
Dave (Deb) W. Borton of Marshalltown, IA, two
brothers, Tom Borton of Virginia Beach, VA,
Jim (Linda) Borton of Marshalltown, IA, a
sister, Doris Strohman of Marshalltown, IA and
two grandchildren, Zackery C. Borton of
Hampton, VA and Brooke L. Borton of
Marshalltown, IA as well as several nieces and
nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his
father, James Borton and mother, Hazel
Denner, a brother, Gerald Borton and sister,
Bonnie Emerson.

It is such a bitter pill to swallow when you lose a loved one. It should be some solace to know he is with our Lord in Paradise. I remember Wayne as a quiet, thoughtful person. I am sure he was a wonderful life mate.
