Richard F. Luense

  Richard F. "Dick" Luense, 61 of Marshalltown, died at his home on Wednesday, April 28, 2004.  Following cremation at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, graveside memorial services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Laurel Methodist Cemetery (northwest of Laurel), with Pastor Gregg Davison officiating. 

    Dick was born June 3, 1942 in Marshalltown, Iowa the son of Ernest D. and Dorothy E. (Gifford) Luense. He was raised and educated in Marshalltown where he graduated from the Marshalltown High School. Following his graduation Dick was employed by Lennox Manufacturing where he worked for over 40 years. Dick enjoyed bowling and golfing and was a member of the American Legion Golf Course, the Marshalltown Moose Lodge #313, and the U.A.W. Local 893.

   Dick is survived by his son Brant E. (Celeste) Luense of Marshalltown, his son Wade R. Luense of Bettendorf, his daughter Erin N. (Aaron) Luense-Landmesser of St. Anthony, Iowa, his brother Cecil "Bud" (Marlene) Luense of Georgia and his grandchildren Logan, Leiah, Grant and Carter.

   Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Dale, Kenneth, and William.
