Janet Irvine (Eurom)

A note from Gordy Eurom, Janet's husband:

"For those of you who are not aware, Janet left this Earth to join God on Christmas Eve 2009, after an illness of almost two weeks. She will be having two remembrance services, one in Georgetown, Texas and another in Marshalltown, Iowa.    We appreciate all of the kindness we have been shown these last several days.  They have helped us through this difficult time."

On Thursday, December 24, 2009, Janet Eurom of Georgetown, Texas passed from this Earth into the arms of God.

Janet was born on October 11, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Earl and Maxine (Allan) Irvine. She grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa and attended school there. She also attended Iowa State University and Evangelical School of Nursing in Marshalltown, Iowa. On February 17, 1967, she was married to Gordon Eurom of Clemons, Iowa in Colorado Springs. During their nearly 43 years together they lived in Marshalltown, Iowa; St. Mary’s Platt, Kent, England; Narborough, Leicestershire, England; Tokyo, Japan; Woodstock, Ontario, Canada; and Sherman, McKinney, Austin, and Georgetown, Texas, where they finally settled in retirement to be near their children and grandchildren.

Janet enjoyed quilting, keeping up with technology, and researching genealogy in her free time. Most of all, she was a passionately devoted wife, mother and grandmother who embraced her family.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Kendra (David) Apple of Coppell, Texas and Jennifer (Chris) Boyer of San Antonio, Texas, her step-father, Sidney Cotton of Oshkosh, Nebraska, a sister, Roberta (Jim) Paul of Marshalltown, Iowa, and 5 grandchildren, Michael, Aubrie, and Mitchell Apple and Emma and Abigail Boyer. She will be deeply missed by all, but we rejoice that she is with her Father in Heaven.
