Services Set

   Miss Iris Ruth Van Horn, 18, 201 S. 7th Ave., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Van Horn, died at the University Hospitals in Iowa City Sunday evening where she had been a patient for the last week.  She had been in failing health since last February and had been hospitalized in Marshalltown and Oakdale before being transferred to the University Hospitals.

   BORN JAN. 12, 1944, in Ft. Worth, Texas, Iris was the daughter of Roland W. and Inez Bond Van Horn.  When she was eight years old the family came to Marshalltown and she attended Central Junior High and was graduated from Marshalltown High School in the class of 1961.  During her vocational year she was employed in the county superintendent of schools office.

  SURVIVING ARE  her parents, a sister and four brothers, Lyle M. and Duane K. Van Horn, both of Chicago; Robert W. and Vernon R. Van Horn and Mrs. Travis Holden, all of Marshalltown.  Also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

   Services will be from the Peace United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Harry Lake, pastor, in charge.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
