August 22, 1943 - January 20, 2016

 

    Nancy Villone, 72, passed away on January 20, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Iowa River Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 25, 2016 at the Ferguson Bible Church in Ferguson Iowa at 11:00 a.m. and a visitation will held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 3 – 5:00 p.m. For any questions please feel free to visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234.      Nancy was born to Paul Raymond Warnell and Irene Helen Meling on August 22, 1943 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Nancy stayed and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1961. She was soon wed to Richard Sweet in the early 60’s. She was also married to Dick Horrell. Years later she married John Villone on November 15, 1974. Nancy worked for many years at the Swift Greenhouse and with her brothers working construction. In Nancy’s free time she loved to stay busy with crafts like quilting, ceramics, and gardening. Nancy was an avid letter writer, with a personal touch that will always be remembered. She was an involved member of the Ferguson Bible Church and would volunteer as much as she could.

 

     Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Horrell, John Horrell, Raymond Horrell, and Valerie Villone; her grandchildren: Skyler, Savana, Amanda, Coty, and Tristan; and her great-grandchildren, Bella and Paisley. She's also survived by her siblings, Paulette Thompson and Paul Warnell.

 

    Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Leanna, her parents, and her half-brothers, Dale and Paul Eugene Warnell.

Nancy was a friend all through school. She had a quiet demeanor and was a friend to all. God holds her in his arms now. I pray for all who are left behind who will miss her.
