Ronald A. Maxfield, 72, of McKinney, TX, passed away at his home on Feb. 20, 2015, surrounded by family. Ronald was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Marshalltown, IA.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of McKinney, daughter, Mandy Gist (Russell), of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren; Brandon Howe (Saylorville, IA), Emily Howe (Minneapolis, MN), Zoe Meister (Denver, CO); sister, Patti Gilmore (Richardson, TX) and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his children, Cheney Ames Maxfield and Stacey Lynn Meister; and his parents Juanita and Fred Maxfield, of McKinney.
Ronald grew up and worked in central Iowa until moving to McKinney, TX, in 1987 where he owned and operated, with his wife Sandra, New Horizon Gallery. He later owned and operated Buster and Crabby's, a sports card and comic shop until he retired. He continued to offer products at local flea markets until he became ill.
The family will greet family and friends in a casual gettogether to celebrate the life of Ronald Maxfield on June 14 at Beach Shelter #2, Big Creek State Park, Ankeny, IA from12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
