Pam Wisecarver (Isaacson)

Pamela Isaacson, age 70, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Sioux Rapids on Monday, November 11, 2013.

A time of remembrance will be Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.

Pamela (Pam) Kay Wisecarver was born January 6, 1943 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond Jacob and Freda Mae (Hills) Wisecarver. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School’s class of 1961. After receiving her Nursing degree, she worked at the hospital in Eldora, the Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown, and lastly the Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Cherokee where she retired as an RN supervisor in 2006.

On September 21, 1968 Pam was united in marriage to Gary Isaacson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in both Eldora and Liscomb before moving and settling into Sioux Rapids in 1987. Pam and Gary were blessed with their only child, a daughter, Kristine Kay.

Pam enjoyed shopping, shopping, and more shopping. She and Gary would take off on many different occasions when she would have a weekend off and enjoy the day in Sioux City or where ever their hearts desired. She really liked going to Branson, Missouri and staying at their time-share they had. She also enjoyed making many different sweet treats. Everyone looked forward to her famous fudge during the holiday seasons. Most of all, Pam enjoyed spending her free time with her growing family of grandsons. They all had a very special place in her heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kristine Payne; son-in-law Tim; 5 grandsons: Cooper, Jaxsen, Aiden, Phynix, and Bentlee, all of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; 2 sister-in-laws: Phyllis Fistler of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Kathy Wisecarver, of State Center, Iowa; niece, Diane (Steven) Simpson of State Center, Iowa; many cousins and a host of friends.

In death she has been able to be reunited with her parents; the love of her life, husband, Gary; brother, Jerry; maternal and paternal grandparents; many aunts and uncles.

My condolences to Pam's family and friends.

Sometimes it seems that life is unfair and our time here is much too short. The best thing each of us can do is live life to the fullest with happy times and a smile like Pam did.
