  Larry J. Halverson, 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016.

  Per Larry’s wishes there will be no public services held at this time.   Memorial contributions may be directed in Larry’s name to his family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Larry and his family. 

  Larry was a lifelong resident of Marshalltown.  He graduated from Marshalltown High School in the class of 1961.  Larry was a Foreman at Fisher Controls from 1966 until his retirement in 2004.  He loved fishing, golfing, bowling, dogs and genealogy. 

  Larry will be missed by his son, Mike (Susan) Halverson and daughter, Tracy (Faith) Frank; three grandchildren: Drew, Eric and Amanda (Eric) Thomas; and one brother: David (Shirley) Halverson.

  He is preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Betty Halverson; and wife Patsy of 50 years.

 First of all I send my heartfelt condolences to Larry's family. While attending high school, my impression of Larry was he was a quintessential "quiet man".  He was quiet but exuded such friendliness.  He was one of the "good" ones.
