S. Dianne (Mrs. Duane) Bulanek, 58, died Wednesday morning, April 10 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center of a heart ailment.  Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Kosbau of the Evangelical Free Church officiating.   Interment will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  memorials may be made in her name to the Stonecroft Ministries (Christian Women's Club), the Cedar Falls Bible Conference, or the Evangelical Free Church of Marshalltown.

   Born on April 17, 1943, in Hiawatha, Kan., she was the adopted daughter of J. Allen and A. Lorraine McCormack.  Dianne received her education in the Marshalltown Public School system graduating from Marshalltown Senior High School in 1961.  Following graduation she worked at Fisher Governor Company for several years.

   On May 11, 1963, she was united in marriage to Duane ca. Bulanek at First Baptist Church in Marshalltown.  Dianne was a homemaker and active in the community.  She was involved in Christian Women's Club for many years serving in various positions including chairman and current Area Representative and also the leader of the Friendship Bible Coffee a The Embers.  Over the years, she was active in music ministry both as a member of Sonlight triple trio as well as a current member of Reflections Gospel Vocal Ensemble with her husband.

   Dianne was a long time member of First Baptist Church where she served many roles including wedding coordinator, Deaconess, Bible Study leader and a member of various choirs.  She was also employed as the part-time bookkeeper for eight years.  Most recently, she was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Marshalltown where she served as a Deaconess and on the social committee. 

   She is survived by her husband Duane; two daughters, Lisa (Christopher) Paschen of St. Paul, Minn. and Lynne (Patrick) Rundall of Ames; two granddaughters, Lauren and Hannah Paschen; her mother Mrs. Lorraine McCormack of The Embers in Marshalltown; her brother Gary McCormack of Cedar Falls; one niece and five nephews.

   She is preceded in death by her father.
